Checkup
It’s funny how fast inspiration can come and go. While in the bath I had all these fantastic ideas about a story that I could maybe start writing and then I get up here, sit at my laptop and turn on my music and…. I draw a complete and total blank!
Hate it!
No matter…. I Think it might actually be this song I’m listening to, it does seem to be a bit of a inspiration killer (Is This Love by Cake) I’ll change it after a moment but I’ll finish this first.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted I realize so I’ll try to fill my rapt audience in on what I’ve been doing.
At the beginning of this month I got my first allowance in quite a long time and the very first since living with mom; $60 bucks for all of May and a small bonus for me being good before she was paying me.
I spent it promptly –I never claimed to be prudent with cash- on a CD a couple DVDs and a poster… funny how fast money goes, wouldn’t you say?
This next allowance is all going to posters so I can decorate my room properly. I have a bunch of blank spaces on my walls and I already know what I’m going to buy so… yay!
What else? I’ve discovered westerns.
Most bizarre that I like them; they’re really not like anything else I like (my childhood movies were Labyrinth, The Last Unicorn, The Dark Crystal and the Never Ending Story), but I’ve really enjoyed all the Clint Eastwood movies I’ve seen. I also found The Magnificent Seven most enjoyable.
Other than that my life has been pretty ordinary, but I thought it best to update this dusty old thing before someone comes along and sees how long it’s been since someone tried to make contact here.
That was a bit of a ramble but it works for me.
One more thing that I have to write here before signing off; my dad called the other night and it was really wonderful to hear his voice, I’ve been missing him lately, and he told me something that really made my day.
My brother likes my writing style!!!
It’s funny how much his opinion means to me; his approval is like this great, unobtainable… thing and to finally have it, even through the grape vine, is so great!!! He told my dad that if I wrote in a different genre (bizarre word) he would actually read it…
So that means I must read everything he likes so I can write something that he’ll like! HAHA! My plan is set and shall be put into motion soon.
Hee hee.
Alright, signing out now.
May the forces of evil get confused on the way to your door unless you invited us there.
Ciao.
